Basketball Recap: Aspyn Schlecht's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Enderlin over Richland

Enderlin lost against Richland back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Enderlin Eagles came up short against the Richland Colts, falling 48-28. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Enderlin lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aspyn Schlecht, who posted 11 points and six rebounds. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Maasjo, who scored six points.

Enderlin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Richland, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12.

Enderlin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richland, they will square off against Wyndmere/Lidgerwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wyndmere/Lidgerwood will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Richland surely won't give up without a fight.
