Volleyball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Westminster Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Sardis Lions.

Addie Mcwhorter paced Westminster Christian Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Mcwhorter got some help from Azlyn Leatherwood and her 11 assists. Jane Forgey and Haley Taylor kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Westminster Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Sardis, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Westminster Christian Academy and Sardis will both be playing Albertville the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Aggies on Saturday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 8:30 a.m.
