Soccer Game Preview: Frostproof vs. Hardee

Frostproof and Hardee are an even 4-4-2 against one another since December of 2015, but likely not for long. The Frostproof Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Hardee Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hardee is hoping to do what Sebring couldn't on Thursday: put an end to Frostproof's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Frostproof's defense stepped up to hand Sebring a 5-0 shutout. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Blue Streaks are ranked 479th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hardee's match on Wednesday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Everything went their way against Okeechobee as Hardee made off with a 4-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Frostproof's win bumped their record up to 8-6-1. As for Hardee, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2-3.

Everything went Frostproof's way against Hardee when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Frostproof made off with a 4-1 win. Does Frostproof have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hardee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
