Basketball Recap: Chadron Comes Up Short

If Chadron was feeling good fresh off their 73-14 takedown of Liberty Tree Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chadron Cardinals came up short against the Hill City Rangers on Friday, falling 50-26.

Chadron got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Jezy Alcorn and Gracie Calkins, who each put up five points.

Chadron's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Hill City, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Chadron has already played their next contest, a 54-43 defeat against Valentine on the 8th. As for Hill City, they are taking a road trip to take on Douglas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
