Basketball Recap: Kiley Shatzel's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Jefferson Township over Pascack Valley

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jefferson Township can now relate to. They fell to the Pascack Valley Panthers 51-46. The Falcons' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kiley Shatzel, who posted six points and eight rebounds. Shatzel is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 13 games she's played. Alexa Juba was another key player, putting up nine points.

Jefferson Township's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Pascack Valley, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.
