Soccer Recap: Brookland-Cayce Falls Short of May River in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Brookland-Cayce can now relate to. They lost 12-0 to the May River Sharks on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Brookland-Cayce can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 116th, while May River are ranked 26th).

Brookland-Cayce has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for May River, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Brookland-Cayce does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for May River, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Hartsville on the 9th.
