Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 56-29 loss at the hands of the North Kansas City Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Hornets are ranked 57th).

Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for North Kansas City, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will welcome Lincoln College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Kansas City, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Park Hill South at 5:30 p.m. on February 11th. Park Hill South will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something North Kansas City surely won't give up without a fight.
