Football Game Preview: Laney Wildcats vs. Burke County Bears + How To Watch

The Laney Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Burke County Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Laney's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Glenn Hills 52-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Burke County blew past Butler, posting a 44-6 victory. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 415th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Burke County's win came from a few key players Laney will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jamari Reeves, who rushed for 66 yards and one TD.

Burke County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 216 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.

Laney's record is now 7-2. As for Burke County, their record now sits at an identical 7-2.
