West Memphis Christian's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Kirby Cougars. The Black Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by ten runs or more this season.

Cannon Morgan was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for West Memphis Christian: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Carter Rhyne, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

West Memphis Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive matches.

The victory snapped West Memphis Christian's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-10 record. As for Kirby, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

West Memphis Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against Kirby: the pair will be back at it again later today.
