Basketball Recap: Bloomsburg Gets the Win

Bloomsburg hadn't done well against Loyalsock Township recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bloomsburg Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-50 victory over the Loyalsock Township Lancers. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 51-32 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Bloomsburg's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Loyalsock Township, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomsburg will head out to challenge Warrior Run at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Warrior Run will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Bloomsburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for Loyalsock Township, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mifflinburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
