Basketball Game Preview: Central Christian Comets vs. Independence Blue Devils

The Central Christian Comets will head out on the road to challenge the Independence Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Christian is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Central Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 57-18 win over Christian Community. The Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Independence didn't have too much trouble with Valley Forge on Saturday as they won 47-28. While fans of the Blue Devils might be used to big wins, the 19-point margin marked the team's biggest one yet.

Central Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Independence, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Central Christian might still be hurting after the 40-19 loss they got from Independence in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Central Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
