Football Game Recap: Canyon vs. Saugus

After a disappointing 6 points in their last game, Saugus made sure to put some points up on the board against Canyon on Friday. Saugus walked away with a 40-28 win. That was the first win for the Centurions since their victory over Thousand Oaks seven weeks ago.

The Centurions got off to a slow start in their matchup last week against Valencia, but they had no such trouble against Canyon as they cruised to a 20-point first half. Canyon countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 20-7 going into the half. Saugus was outperformed in the second half 21-20 but had enough points saved up to walk away with the win.

Saugus' win brought them up to 4-6. Canyon is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8. Both of these squads appear to have finished up the season, as they have no upcoming games scheduled.
