Basketball Recap: Cloudcroft Gets the Win

After losing to Loving the last time they met, Cloudcroft decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cloudcroft Bears came out on top against the Loving Falcons by a score of 50-40 on Friday.

The victory got Cloudcroft back to even at 8-8. As for Loving, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Cloudcroft and Loving could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New Mexico Rankings. Cloudcroft will take on Mesilla Valley Christian School at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday down 77 places (107 vs. 30). Meanwhile, Loving (ranked 91st) will meet Texico (ranked 20th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
