El Capitan has gone a perfect 7-0 against Los Banos recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Gauchos will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. El Capitan will be strutting in after a victory while Los Banos will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, El Capitan got the win against Atwater by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gauchos.

El Capitan walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Los Banos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Buhach Colony.

Los Banos wouldn't go down easily and took Buhach Colony into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 18-25, 25-20, 15-8.

Los Banos' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for El Capitan, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Everything went El Capitan's way against Los Banos when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as El Capitan made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Gauchos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
