Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Christian Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Santa Fe Christian can now relate to. They fell 5-1 to the Point Loma Pointers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Santa Fe Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Plasman, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Santa Fe Christian's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-15. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Point Loma, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-12-1.

As of now, neither Santa Fe Christian nor the Pointers have any future games scheduled.
