Volleyball Recap: Fairview Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fairview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Mead Mavericks, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Fairview may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 12 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 25-12.

Kaia Caines paced Fairview's offense, picking up four kills. Caines got some help from Summer Meek and her six assists.

Mead got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alana Costello out in front who had ten digs and one assist.

Fairview's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Mead, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fairview is set to face off against their familiar foe Broomfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mead will challenge rival Monarch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
