Basketball Recap: Scottsdale Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Scottsdale Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 53-33 to the Camp Verde Cowboys. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 60-32 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Camp Verde's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Clancy Murdock, who went 7 for 15 en route to 16 points and seven steals. Murdock is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games. Lydia Bleak was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Scottsdale Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Camp Verde, their record is now 9-12.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles face off against the Fountain Hills Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Camp Verde, they will face off against Northland Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Camp Verde is facing Northland Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Northland Prep Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
