Softball Recap: Delaware Valley Wins Going Away Against Hillsborough

Delaware Valley put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Hillsborough Raiders. The Terriers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Grace Slack's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lilly Rynearson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Liskowacki, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Delaware Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Hillsborough, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-15.

Coming up, Delaware Valley will head out on the road to challenge Hopewell Valley Central at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hillsborough does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
