Volleyball Recap: Bethel Bees vs. Bellefontaine Chieftains
Bethel lost against Bellefontaine back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bees took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chieftains. While the Bees didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Chieftains 25-20 in the first set.
Bethel started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-23.
Layla Moore paced Bethel's offense, picking up ten kills. Moore got some help from Kyra Clawson and her 16 assists. Aubrey Bunting controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Bethel's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Bellefontaine, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
Bethel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Northridge on the 30th. As for Bellefontaine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Jonathan Alder on the 30th.
