Basketball Game Preview: Foran Lions vs. Law Lawmen

The Foran Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Law Lawmen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Foran challenged Mercy on Friday. Foran fell 55-48 to Mercy. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Foran's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Faith Doyle, who posted 14 points and four steals, and Ava Deitelbaum, who went 6-for-9 on her way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maranda Perez, who scored six points.

Meanwhile, Law also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Hillhouse by a score of 55-45.

Law's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-7. As for Foran, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 12-7.

Foran didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Law in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 55-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foran since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
