Basketball Recap: Williamsville South Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Williamsville South entered their tilt with Nichols on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 60-44 victory over the Nichols Vikings. Given the Billies' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Vikings are ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Nichols still got an impressive performance from Tre Paulfrey, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Justin Benning, who posted 14 points.

Williamsville South is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Nichols, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williamsville South has already played their next game (against Williamsville East), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
