 It may have taken  nine innings to finish the job, but Conner ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Monday. They came out on top against the Ryle Raiders by a score of  4-1. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Conner.
  Mollie Sharp was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 19 over nine innings pitched. Sharp has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings every time she's  pitched this season. Sharp was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-5.
 In other batting news,  Kayla Ortiz was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.  Averie Lightner was another key contributor,  going 2-for-5 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 On Ryle's side,  Madison Goddard spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 Conner is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record  this season. As for Ryle, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
 Conner will be playing in front of their home fans against Beechwood at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Conner's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1  runs per game  this season, so Beechwood's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ryle, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Boone County at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Ryle is facing Boone County at the right time seeing as Boone County is stuck on  a  nine-game losing streak.
