Softball Preview: Kennedy Crusaders vs. Hyde Park Thunderbirds

The Kennedy Crusaders will stay at home for another game and welcome the Hyde Park Thunderbirds at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Hyde Park likes a good challenge.

Kennedy stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Simeon a 15-0 shutout.

Ariel Huerta was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with a home run, six RBI, and a double. She hasn't dropped below three RBI for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Angelina Gregory, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Hyde Park lost 10-4 to Richards last Saturday.

Kennedy pushed their record up to 10-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Hyde Park, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
