Softball Recap: Hanover Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hanover's offense. They came up short against the Merrimack Valley Pride on Thursday, falling 14-0. The Marauders haven't had much luck with the Pride recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Merrimack Valley, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Hanover will square off against Milford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Marauders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Merrimack Valley, they will take on Oyster River at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Pride's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
