Basketball Game Preview: Prior Lake Christian Royals vs. Liberty Christian Eagles

Prior Lake Christian hasn't had much luck against Liberty Christian recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Prior Lake Christian Royals will jump right back in to play the Liberty Christian Eagles at 1:45 p.m. Prior Lake Christian has given up an average of 50.5 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

On Friday, Prior Lake Christian came up short against Rochester Area HomeSchool and fell 63-50.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Elijah Wilson, who posted 27 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Morgan, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Liberty Christian played a tough contest back in February in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against St. Francis Christian, falling 75-48. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Liberty Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Prior Lake Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-12.

Prior Lake Christian couldn't quite get it done against Liberty Christian in their previous meeting back in February as they fell 56-45. Can Prior Lake Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
