Basketball Game Preview: William Monroe Dragons vs. East Rockingham Eagles

The William Monroe Dragons will challenge the East Rockingham Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. William Monroe has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 27.

William Monroe came up short against Broadway on Friday, falling 57-31. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Gobblers are ranked 92nd).

Meanwhile, East Rockingham got the win against Harrisonburg on Saturday by a conclusive 52-32. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

William Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for East Rockingham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.
