Baseball Game Preview: Ketchikan Kings vs. Chugiak Mustangs

For the second straight game, Ketchikan will face off against Chugiak. The Kings will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ketchikan came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to Chugiak.

For Chugiak's part, the team relied heavily on Blake Yawit, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four hits gave Yawit a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Cage, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chugiak kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ketchikan only managed three hits.

The win got Chugiak back to even at 1-1. As for Ketchikan, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
