Softball Recap: Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Extends Winning Streak to Five

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They never let the Seymour Indians get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won five matches in a row.

The result came thanks to Mylee Tracy's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 17 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mallory Rohn, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia pushed their record up to 27-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Seymour, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-15-1.

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia has already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Havana on the 27th. Seymour does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
