Football Recap: Conway Christian Comes Up Short

Conway Christian was the 36-13 winner over Quitman when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a blow against the Bulldogs on Friday, falling 54-18. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-12.

Quitman had a senior duo take command as Jordon Moore-Payne rushed for 90 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries and Devon Boyce gained 221 total yards and two touchdowns.

Conway Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Conway Christian will challenge Atkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Quitman, they will head out to challenge Izard County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
