Basketball Recap: Sterling Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Sterling, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Apache Warriors by a score of 42-32 on Friday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Warriors are ranked 173rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sterling pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Apache, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
