Volleyball Recap: Tenley Davis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mt. Carmel over Norris City-Omaha-Enfield

Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Fighting Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Fighting Cardinals this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat on Wednesday.

Mt. Carmel lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tenley Davis, who had 13 digs. Mattie Armstrong was another key player, getting seven digs and six assists.

Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Norris City-Omaha-Enfield, the win (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 29-1.

Mt. Carmel has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Robinson on the 18th. As for Norris City-Omaha-Enfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Edwards County on the 18th.
