Baker faced Mary G. Montgomery in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Hornets enjoyed a cozy 43-28 win over the Vikings. The Hornets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Baker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Khatori Marion led the charge by picking up 182 receiving yards and four scores. Marion's longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Tate Graham, who threw for 230 yards and four TDs.

Baker was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 266 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mary G. Montgomery only rushed for 100.

The victory was the third in a row for Baker, bringing their record up to 6-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.7 points over those games. As for Mary G. Montgomery, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
