Baseball Recap: Williamsport Has No Trouble Against Loyalsock Township

Williamsport won the last time they faced Loyalsock Township and things went their way on Friday too. The Millionaires blew past the Lancers 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Millionaires, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Deshaun White, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Camden March, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Williamsport hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Loyalsock Township struck out ten times.

The win made it two in a row for Williamsport and bumps their season record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Loyalsock Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Coincidentally, Williamsport and Loyalsock Township will both be playing Montoursville the next time they take the field. The Millionaires will head out to face the Warriors on Saturday, while the Lancers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
