Softball Recap: Akins Comes Up Short

Akins managed to slip by Davenport the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Akins Eagles lost 13-1 to the Davenport Wolves on Thursday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Akins is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4. As for Davenport, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Akins has already played their next contest, a 9-3 loss against Hendrickson on the 28th. As for Davenport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 16-0 win against Pflugerville Connally on the 27th.
