Soccer Recap: West Wendover Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, West Wendover was not quite Lowry's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Buckaroos by a score of 2-1. West Wendover were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Lowry earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

This is the second loss in a row for West Wendover and nudges their season record down to 7-11-3. As for Lowry, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12-5.

West Wendover and Lowry could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings. The Wolverines will face off against South Tahoe at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (55 vs. 10). Meanwhile, Lowry (ranked 63rd) will meet Truckee (ranked seventh) at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
