Baseball Recap: Liberty Union Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Liberty Union proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Danville Blue Devils, sneaking past 4-2.

Bobby Savage spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cam Wood, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Liberty Union pushed their record up to 11-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Danville, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Union will head out to take on Logan at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Danville, they will venture away from home to challenge Coshocton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
