The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday Seaside (10-1) takes on Menlo School (10-1) in the first playoff game of the year. Each team will be battling to keep its win streak alive, with Menlo School having won six in a row and Seaside seven.

Last week, Seaside took on Stevenson. Seaside's defense took a beating in the first half, giving up 17 points. That put it down 17 - 14. Thankfully, the offense came through for it, scoring 16 in the second half. That gave it just enough oomph to take the game with a final score of 30 - 25.

As for Menlo School, it breezed past King's Academy last week with a final score of 39 - 7. Senior wide receiver Evan King (173 yards receiving) has been a real playmaker for Menlo School with over 100 receiving yards in each of the past three games. King has now scored at least one TD in the past four consecutive games.

While both teams are coming off of wins, only one will triumph this week. We'll find out soon enough who that will be.
