Football Recap: Bridgeland's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday + How To Watch

If Bridgeland was riding high fresh off their 44-16 takedown of Cypress Lakes last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears fell 23-14 to the Cypress Ranch Mustangs on Friday. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

It was another big night for Braden Baker, who threw for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 31 yards for Cypress Ranch. That's the most passing yards Baker has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Peyton Thomas, who rushed for 117 yards.

Bridgeland moved to 6-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Cypress Ranch, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
