Softball Recap: New Oxford Starts Season with Victory Against Gettysburg

New Oxford took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They blew past the Gettysburg Warriors 9-3. For the Colonials, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2016.

Brooklyn Horick was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Isabelle Donnelly, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one triple.

Coming up, New Oxford will head out on the road to square off against Bermudian Springs at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Gettysburg, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Greencastle-Antrim at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
