Recap: Heritage Hawks vs. Chrisman Cardinals

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Heritage Hawks can now relate to. They took a 37-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals on Saturday. Heritage's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it 12 in a row.

Chrisman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taylor Jones led the charge by scoring seven points along with 14 rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lyndsi Smith, who scored 11 points.

Heritage's loss was their 25th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-27. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for Chrisman, their victory bumped their record up to 10-19.

Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chrisman, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-15 defeat vs. Salt Fork on the 12th.
