Softball Recap: Clearview Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Clearview had won five straight on the road, but on Monday they bumped their record up to 13-4 to make it six. They came out on top against the Timber Creek Regional Chargers by a score of 6-1. This was payback for the Pioneers, who suffered a 4-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

As for Timber Creek Regional, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Timber Creek Regional's part, Joselyn Bermudez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. Bermudez has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clearview will face off against Washington Township at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Timber Creek Regional, they will challenge Cumberland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
