On Thursday, St. Pius X made easy work of Belen and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Grants lost 3-0 to Valencia on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost seven in a row.

While Grants was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Valencia's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-12, 25-13.

St. Pius X's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Grants, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

St. Pius X took their victory against Grants when the teams last played on October 9th by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sartans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
