Baseball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-3 to the Meridian Wildcats.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Meridian, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Meridian will challenge Benton Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbus will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' game: after the Wildcats face off against the Raiders, they'll take on Columbus again at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
