Preview: Spanish Springs vs. Monterey Trail
Monterey Trail are packing up and hiking across state lines for their game on Friday. , they are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Spanish Springs at 3:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Monterey Trail couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. Monterey Trail weren't too far behind, but the team still lost 8-13 to Christian Brothers on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Spanish Springs had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 6-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nevada Union.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
