Basketball Recap: Paris Comes Up Short

Paris lost against Westran back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Paris Coyotes took a 54-37 bruising from the Westran Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 485th, while the Hornets are ranked 129th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cooper Harvey, who went 5 for 10 en route to 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marshall Kitchen, who posted six points and 14 boards.

Paris' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Westran, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Paris will face off against Silex at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Westran, they will challenge Salisbury at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Westran is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
