Basketball Recap: New Diana Triumphs

New Diana picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They walked away with a 45-38 victory over Prestonwood Christian North. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

New Diana can attribute much of their success to Kayleigh Tibbetts, who posted 12 points along with five boards and four steals. Tibbetts is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taryn Reece, who earned seven points and nine rebounds.

New Diana smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.

New Diana's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Prestonwood Christian North, they moved to 7-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

New Diana didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-21 defeat against Pollok Central on the 13th. As for Prestonwood Christian North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 35-26 victory against Mildred on the 13th.
