Softball Recap: Canterbury Crusaders vs. Indian Rocks Christian Eagles

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mount Dora Christian Academy, Canterbury was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles 12-1. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Marina Roper made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Roper was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Lourdes Guzman was incredible, firing off two home runs, four RBI, and one stolen base while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Cali Baust was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.
