Recap: Bunn Wildcats vs. Nash Central Bulldogs

The Bunn Wildcats can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Nash Central with points to spare, taking the game 64-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bunn also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bunn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jameir Strickland, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Strickland has scored at least a third of Bunn's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Riley, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.

Bunn's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13. As for Nash Central, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-18.

Bunn will take on Roanoke Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bunn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Nash Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Southeast Halifax at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast Halifax knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Nash Central likes a good challenge.
