Cresskill lost against New Milford back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars came up short against the Knights, falling 9-2. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Isabella Bross was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Cecere, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Cresskill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for New Milford, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cresskill will square off against Hasbrouck Heights at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Milford, they will head out to face off against Elmwood Park at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
