They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Fairfield Indians. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lakota West was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-28, 24-26, 25-18, 15-9.

Brookelyn Humphrey had an outrageously good game as she had 23 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Fairfield's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mikee Lawson, who had five digs and three aces, and Peyton Smith, who had 22 digs and five assists. Smith is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 20 every time she's taken the court this season.
